The walk home.
The 18th changes the mood completely. The fairway opens, the Swilcan Bridge appears, and the clubhouse draws closer. It is one of golf's most recognisable final walks and a fitting end to a round at the Home of Golf.
That contrast is what makes the final two holes so memorable: one last test, then the feeling of coming home.
